The Emerging Issues in Science and Policy (EISP) Committee has been tasked with identifying emerging issues in science and policy and recommending these to the Council to initiate processes to generate the required evidence to address policy matters related to the issues. Emerging issue – An issue that is recognized as very important by the scientific community but is not yet receiving adequate attention from the policy community. The issue could be positive or negative.
